Itinerary for Bahia
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Salvador
Meet & greet at the airport, transfer to your hotel and time to slow down and feel the first pulse of Bahia’s energy.
Day 2 — Historic Center Walking Tour + Drum Workshop
Guided walk through Castro Alves Square, Barroquinha, MUNCAB, Rua Chile, Pelourinho, Casa do Olodum and Sociedade Protetora dos Desvalidos.
Afternoon drum and samba experience with local masters.
Day 3 — Bay of All Saints Islands
Boat tour to Ilha dos Frades (Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe Beach) and Itaparica (Ponta de Areia Beach). Local lunch at Manguezal restaurant. Return at sunset.
Day 4 — São Joaquim Market, Bonfim Church & Orixás Route
Morning visit to São Joaquim Market. Stop at Senhor do Bonfim Church to tie your wish ribbons and feel the syncretic faith.
In the afternoon, visit Casa de Yemanjá and the traditional Terreiro do Oxumarê. Sacred dinner prepared by the community.
Day 5 — Praia do Forte
Discover Projeto Tamar and swim at Praia do Papa-Gente. Lunch surrounded by nature at Sapiranga Ecological Reserve.
Day 6 — Indigenous Experience
Ritual welcome with Toré dance and river blessing. Trail to the village, traditional lunch, ritual painting (optional), maraca workshop, craft shop and Sacred Bonfire to close the night with songs, storytelling and gratitude.
Day 7 — Quilombola Community in Massarandupió
Warm welcome with samba de roda, manioc flour making, traditional lunch, guided tour, river bathing and closing samba circle.
Day 8 — Itapoan: Poetry and Sea
Visit Lagoa do Abaeté, Malê Debalê (guardian of Quilombo do Urubu), Vinícius de Moraes Square, Itapoan Lighthouse and lunch at Casa Divina. Hands-on fuxico craft, samba circle and free time by the ocean.
Day 9 — Farewell
Airport transfer with memories, new connections and Bahia’s axé carried in your heart.
